Fully Fubd the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope in the Congressional Budget

To: Rep. Watson Coleman, Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim

From: A verified voter in Plainsboro, NJ

April 18

The Nancy Grace Roman Telescope must be funded. The telescope is already built. You will waste far more money than you will “save” by cutting funding to this program. The Hubble telescope exponentially expanded our understanding of the universe - the Roman will do that and more. It is ridiculous to cut this from the budget. It makes no financial sense and is blatantly anti-science. This telescope would put America on the cutting edge of space research. Refusing to finish the project puts us at a disadvantage both scientifically and strategically on the world stage. It is outrageous that we can find money to bomb children in Palestine and start trade wars with our allies but can’t find money to fund groundbreaking nonpartisan science. NASA and the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope should be fully funded and supported. NASA has proven time and again to be a good investment in American technology and our future.
