Affordability for Working Families

To: Rep. McClellan, Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine

From: A constituent in Richmond, VA

May 1

I’m writing as a constituent to express concern about the rising cost of living and its impact on everyday families. Housing, childcare, groceries, and healthcare are all becoming harder to afford, even for those working full-time. I urge you to prioritize policies that directly address affordability, including lowering healthcare and prescription costs, increasing access to affordable childcare, and supporting housing initiatives that expand supply and stabilize prices. Practical, tangible relief in these areas would make a meaningful difference. Thank you for your time and for your service to our community. I appreciate your attention to this issue and hope to see continued action that supports working families.
