I'm calling on you to publicly oppose the White House's new National Counterterrorism Strategy and work to block its implementation. This document weaponizes counterterrorism powers against Americans who hold left-wing political views, labeling "anti-capitalist" beliefs, pro-Palestinian activism, and transgender advocacy as terrorism. Sebastian Gorka's Strategy promises to use the same tactics deployed against al Qaeda on domestic political opponents. It explicitly targets "Violent Left-Wing Extremists, including Anarchists and Anti-Fascists" and warns of "Red-Green alliances" between leftists and Islamists. The document embraces pre-crime policing, vowing to "identify terror actors and plots before they happen" and achieve "rapid identification and neutralization" of threats. This is not counterterrorism. This is political repression. The Strategy even justifies its expansion by citing alleged FBI abuses against conservatives, then turns around and unleashes those same powers against the left. It targets Americans for being "anti-American," "anti-Christian," or "radically pro-transgender." Congress has oversight authority over counterterrorism policy. Use it. Demand hearings, withhold funding, and make clear that dissent is not terrorism. The global war on terror cannot become a war on political opposition at home.
