Block Unauthorized $10 Billion Transfer to Trump's Board of Peace
To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Maloy
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
February 22
I am writing to demand you stop the blatant theft of taxpayer dollars through President Trump's attempt to funnel $10 billion to his Board of Peace without congressional authorization.
Trump announced this funding request at the board's inaugural meeting, dismissing $10 billion as "a very small number" compared to war costs. This is not his money to spend. The Constitution grants Congress sole authority over federal appropriations, and he has not obtained the required approval. This is an unconstitutional power grab that treats the Treasury as a personal bank account.
The entire operation reeks of corruption. Trump already sold permanent board seats for $1 billion each with zero public accounting of where that money went. Now he wants $10 billion more with no transparency, no oversight, and no explanation of how funds would be used. This is a slush fund designed to enrich insiders while bypassing every safeguard that protects taxpayers from fraud and abuse.
The timing exposes the scheme's illegitimacy. With the government shut down over DHS funding disputes and midterm elections approaching, there is no path to legitimate congressional approval. The administration knows this, which is why they are attempting to circumvent Congress entirely and simply take the money.
I am demanding you publicly oppose this unauthorized transfer and block any attempt to move taxpayer funds to this board. You must also demand full disclosure of the $1 billion already collected from board seat sales. Congress has a constitutional duty to control spending and prevent the executive branch from looting the Treasury.
Will you commit to stopping this theft and holding the administration accountable for this brazen attempt to steal $10 billion in taxpayer money?
