Please investigate & prosecute police brutality at ICE protests, redirect LAPD

To: Mayor Bass

From: A constituent in North Hollywood, CA

June 9, 2025

An LAPD officer was recorded shooting Australian journalist Lauren Tomasi with less-than-lethal weaponry from behind, seemingly without any provocation. Mounted officers beat a woman with batons and dragged her through the street. These are just the most infamous examples of police brutality exhibited towards protestors this weekend. Please see that these incidents are fully investigated and justice is served, and in the immediate term please direct LAPD to focus their resources on protecting the targets of terroristic ICE raids so protestors can return to their daily lives.
