This Earth Month, I am pleading with you to take immediate action to protect our national parks and monuments. These lands are not just tourist destinations; they are essential for wildlife conservation, climate protection, and they hold profound cultural significance for Indigenous communities across the country.
Trump’s threats to auction off public lands for drilling and mining — through his “Unleashing American Energy” executive order — would unleash irreversible damage on our climate. If carried out, this plan would open our most treasured landscapes to destructive practices that contribute to pollution and the climate crisis.
We’ve seen this before: the last Trump administration shrank protected areas like Bears Ears National Monument to facilitate drilling, mining, logging, and more. The Biden administration restored protections, but now these critical lands are once again under threat.
I urge you to stand firm against any efforts to sell off or reduce the protection of our national parks, monuments, and public lands. We need your leadership to ensure that these sacred lands are preserved for future generations, not exploited for short-term profit.
Trump has been flexing his bullying tactics believing he has untethered power to deport American citizens, shutdown agencies, take control of countries to make them his latest golf resort. My greatest concern is he's gotten away with so much unchecked power. How do we trust you to stand up for our climate, our wildlife, and stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities by opposing any attempts to open our public lands to corporate exploitation.
Thank you once again for listening to your constituents. Please continue to support country, democracy , rule of law under the real Constitution not the one altered to appease the Heritage foundation's project 2025, ending America as we know it. These are critical issues I continue to flood your email about. As always, I look forward to watching your leadership in action as you defend our public lands and the future of America.
In solidarity,
