I just read a very shocking and cruel article regarding the Afghan refugees that arrived here in the US with literally nothing. They were fleeing Taliban oppression and were able to get in those C-17’s at the last second. I write to you because I have personal experiences with these people. I am a retired airline pilot who had the honor of transporting many of them from El Paso, Texas. Many of these refugees are young and able and willing to work in this country, contributing greatly to our communities. The Trump administration is revoking their status and detaining them for deportation back to Afghanistan. Can you imagine being one of them facing what the Taliban will inflict on them!? Block these deportations now! The cruelty is beyond what I can handle as a citizen.
