Demand Immediate Action: Swear In Grijalva and Release Epstein Files
To: Rep. Maloy, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
October 24
I am writing to express my utter frustration and outrage at the current state of affairs in our government. The ongoing refusal to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva and the continued suppression of the Jeffrey Epstein files have pushed me to a breaking point. These issues are not just concerning; they are infuriating and demand immediate action.
Speaker Mike Johnson's stance on Representative-elect Grijalva's situation is nothing short of a disgrace to our democratic principles. His claim that she has the necessary resources to begin constituent work without being sworn in is an insult to the voters who elected her and to the very foundations of our representative government. Every day she remains unsworn is another day her constituents are denied full and proper representation. This is unacceptable and borders on voter suppression.
The handling of the Epstein files is equally appalling. The piecemeal release of information through the House Oversight Committee is a farce. We demand full transparency, not carefully curated disclosures. The American people have an absolute right to know the complete truth about Epstein's activities and all those involved, regardless of their power or status. The recent releases, including Alex Acosta's testimony and flight logs, have only scratched the surface. We need the whole truth, and we need it now.
I am at a point where I'm seriously considering changing my party affiliation over these issues. The current leadership has shown a blatant disregard for democratic principles and transparency. I demand that you take immediate and decisive action. Ensure Representative-elect Grijalva is sworn in without delay and push for the complete, unredacted release of all Epstein-related files.
Your response to these critical issues will determine my future support and that of many others in your constituency. We are watching closely and expect nothing less than full commitment to upholding democracy and transparency. The time for half-measures and empty promises is over. Act now, or be prepared to face the consequences at the ballot box.
