Vote NO on SB1439

To: Rep. Nguyen, Sen. Finchem, Rep. Bliss, Gov. Hobbs

From: A constituent in Prescott, AZ

February 26

I am writing to express my opposition to any legislation that directs state-authorized license plate fees to a partisan political organization, including Turning Point USA. Specialty license plates operate under the authority of the state and rely on public trust. Using that mechanism to funnel funds to a politically active organization sets a dangerous precedent and blurs the line between public administration and partisan fundraising. Memorials and honors should serve the public broadly, not advance the financial interests or branding of a specific political group. Arizona has many neutral charitable, educational, and civic institutions that reflect shared values without partisan affiliation. I urge you to oppose this proposal and to ensure that any state-sanctioned fundraising programs remain nonpartisan, transparent, and appropriate to the role of government. As an elected official, your oath of office obligates you to uphold the integrity of public institutions and to serve the full public, not a single political movement. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
