Demand Kash Patel's Resignation or Impeachment for Fourth Amendment Violations

To: Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott, Rep. Webster

From: A verified voter in Ocoee, FL

March 19

Kash Patel must resign as FBI Director immediately, or Congress should begin impeachment proceedings. His admission under oath that the FBI is purchasing Americans' location data without warrants is a flagrant violation of the Fourth Amendment and disqualifies him from leading federal law enforcement. Patel testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee that the FBI buys commercially available location data on Americans, claiming it's "consistent with the constitution." This is false. The Fourth Amendment requires warrants based on probable cause for searches and seizures. The FBI cannot circumvent this constitutional protection simply by purchasing data from brokers instead of obtaining it directly from telecommunications companies with a judge's authorization. This is exactly the kind of unreasonable search our founders prohibited. This practice is particularly dangerous given the FBI's use of artificial intelligence to analyze massive amounts of private information. No American should have their movements tracked and analyzed by federal agents without judicial oversight. Patel's defense of this unconstitutional surveillance proves he lacks the judgment and respect for civil liberties required to lead the FBI. Remove him from office.
