I am writing to urge you to stop the government shutdown now. Republicans control the Senate, the House and the White House. This shutdown is owned 100% by the Republicans who control everything. Modify, eliminate or sidestep the filibuster and pass any bill you wish. You do not need even one Democratic vote. The question is why are Republicans not moving ahead if they really want to pass this or any other legislation. You all either want to shut down the government or you want to hide behind Democrats for your bad and unpopular ideas. Your budget is designed to hurt the majority of Americans. It’s a Republican budget, and you could pass it without Democrats. Simple majority to end the filibuster, simple majority to pass. If it’s such a great budget, stop the crocodile tears and lies and be like Nike, just do it!
