The American people do not want concentration camps in our country.
Trump's detention camps fit the very definition of a concentration camp because of the lawless way that the administration is filling them.
We have masked secret police who don't identify themselves on the streets who are kidnapping people. They take them so quickly from a local detention center to a transit camp so that attorneys can't find them and give them their legal rights.
And then there are the conditions of the camps. They are a threat to human health. The people who were placed in these camps are forced to pursue deportation instead of pursuing their rights to due process. They don't have water, they don't have adequate food, they're denied medical care, they are denied medications , even medications that they have brought in on their own, disease is spreading, and there have been multiple deaths, and one was determined to be a homicide.
These are human beings who are suffering at the hands of Trump's government.
The American people overwhelmingly are against Trump's concentration camps being built in cities in our nation. Trump's government is committing crimes against humanity. The death of anyone who is in this horrific system will be blood on Trump's and the Republicans' hands.
This is not what we do in America.
The Republican legislators need work with the Democrats to put a stop to these camps and to rein in Trump's brown shirts. We do not want to be Nazi Germany. You are either on our side or you are on the side of the Republicans who are being taken over by Nazism. Which is it Mr. Tillis and Mr. Budd?
