OVERSIGHT
To: Rep. Van Drew
From: A constituent in Mullica Hill, NJ
July 23
The American people must be able to have faith that the Department of Justice works for them, not any particular political party or individual. Under Attorney General Bondi's leadership, the DOJ has engaged in disturbing actions that undermine its integrity and independence. Key appointments like FBI Director Kash Patel and deputies like Blanche, Bongino, and Bove have turned the DOJ into a political weapon. Concrete steps like creating an independent prosecutor role, strengthening whistleblower protections, and increasing oversight through investigative hearings are urgently needed. Restoring its independence should be a top priority.
The DOJ is to protect AMERICANS, not to settle scores.
