Impeach Secretary Hegseth! Our Military Is in Danger!

To: Rep. McClain Delaney, Sen. Alsobrooks, Sen. Van Hollen

From: A constituent in Frederick, MD

September 2

I am writing to demand that you speak up immediately and call for the impeachment of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. His leadership has been a catastrophe for our armed forces and our national security. He has recklessly overseen military actions against Iran, including a recent U.S. strike that bombed a wedding ceremony in Sirik, killing civilians and wounding dozens of women and children. That, in itself, is an atrocious war crime. He has compromised operational security by texting classified attack plans for Yemen strikes to a Signal chat that included a journalist. He has also personally intervened to remove Black and female officers from promotion lists, gutting the senior ranks of our military and undermining morale. This is not leadership. It is a dangerous abuse of power. The military is not OK, and Secretary Hegseth is the reason. He has politicized our armed forces, put American lives at risk, and shown that he is wholly unfit to serve in any leadership position. I urge you to break your silence and take immediate action. Impeachment or forced resignation is the only way to stop the damage. Our service members and our country deserve better. Do your duty and hold him accountable.
