I just read that the Trump administration is shuttering ⁠two of the three US Department of Agriculture research projects studying cyclospora (https://substack.com/redirect/4703b25b-40b6-4b6f-a5b1-c10bbf5cd276?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI). This parasite has ⁠sickened tens of thousands of Americans! We should be funding the projects studying it—not cancelling them. I am frustrated beyond belief that foodborne illnesses are skyrocketing (https://substack.com/redirect/094f7455-09f3-4c60-a55f-900882ada218?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI) and this administration continues to take no actions to address it. RFK Jr. needs to resign and food safety inspections need to be re-funded. I’m tired of being scared to eat. This country is going rapidly to hell.
