H. R. 2048 - the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act waives 5-month waiting period for SSDI and 24-month waiting period for Medicare. My sister is currently living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer (3 years and counting), currently a terminal disease. I know your wife recently finished treatment for earlier stage disease and that you would appreciate what this bill would mean for the 150K Americans living with Stage IV disease right now. I’m asking you to join as a cosponsor and to talk to your colleagues about joining you too. It would have an enormous positive impact on people’s lives that are already suffering enough.
