Stop the Talking Points, Fight for Your Constituents’ Best Interests

Your recent response that “President Biden left our country with a stagnating economy” flies in the face of all the data that we are seeing. This month’s jobs report showed a drop in June of 13,000 jobs. This is the first net loss since 2020. Manufacturing jobs have been falling since April. We have seen manufacturing jobs decline by 42,000 since April 2025. According to the NYT, “John Deere said net income in its most recent quarter was down 29 percent from a year earlier. Higher tariffs, primarily on steel but also on aluminum, have cost the company $300 million so far, with nearly another $300 million expected by the end of the year. This summer the company laid off 238 employees across factories in Illinois and Iowa.” With fewer job openings, manufacturing in decline, and farmers suffering from tariffs, what are you going to do other than vote for another farm bailout that would have been unnecessary without these illegal tariffs. How about showing some courage for once in your Congressional career and stand up for Congress’ duty. Legislation for tariffs must originate in the House. Try doing your job instead of sending letters with easily debunked talking points. We will not stand for Congress’ dereliction of duty. We will remember your fear to act in the best interests of your constituents.
