The administration's attacks on President Zelenskyy and suggestions of replacing Ukraine's leadership are deeply concerning. Zelenskyy has led the heroic defense of his country against Russia's unprovoked invasion, and questioning his leadership while his people suffer Russian aggression is an insult to a vital ally. Ukraine's sovereignty and right to self-governance must be respected. Abandoning Zelenskyy would only embolden Putin and endanger global democracy. The U.S. must reaffirm its steadfast support for Ukraine in achieving a peace that protects its territorial integrity and security. Undermining Ukraine's legitimately elected president serves only to reward Russian hostility. We urge a return to principled diplomacy that upholds our values and stands firmly with a crucial partner resisting authoritarian expansionism.
