Your Vote on Arms Sales to Israel—and Your AIPAC Ties
To: Sen. Rosen
From: A constituent in Las Vegas, NV
July 31
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and outrage over your failure to support Senator Bernie Sanders’ joint resolution to block U.S. arms sales to Israel.
This was a moment of profound moral clarity—a chance to stand for human rights, to stop fueling the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and to hold our nation accountable for the weapons and funding enabling mass atrocities. Your refusal to support this resolution is shameful.
Over 38,000 Palestinians have been killed. Entire families have been incinerated. The Israeli military has bombed hospitals, schools, and refugee camps. These crimes are being carried out with U.S.-made weapons—paid for by our tax dollars and sold with your consent.
Your failure to act cannot be separated from your record of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from pro-Israel lobbying groups, including AIPAC. That money may buy silence in Congress—but it does not buy the moral consent of your constituents. You are accountable to us—not to AIPAC, not to donors, not to weapons manufacturers.
What Israel is doing is not self-defense. It is ethnic cleansing. It is collective punishment. It is genocide. And it is making the world more dangerous for Jews everywhere.
This brutal campaign is a driver of antisemitism, not a solution to it. Conflating the Israeli state with all Jewish people is both false and deeply harmful. These crimes will not make Jews safer—they will only deepen hatred and trauma for generations to come.
I demand that you change course. I demand that you support an immediate and permanent ceasefire, a complete halt to U.S. arms sales to Israel, and a full investigation into the war crimes being committed in Gaza.
History is watching. And so are we.
