Fully Fund Public Schools and End Voucher Programs Vote to fully fund public schools and eliminate voucher programs that drain resources from the students who need them most. Redirect funding from DHS and ICE enforcement to public education immediately. Our schools are in crisis. Teachers are buying supplies out of pocket, classrooms are overcrowded, and educators are burning out from managing behavioral crises with zero support. Meanwhile, voucher systems funnel public money to private institutions that primarily benefit wealthy families who could already afford private school. This isn't school choice—it's a transfer of resources away from the diverse, underfunded public schools serving the majority of American children. Trump's proposed budget cuts $2.3 billion from education while funding vanity projects. That's backwards. We need to invest in the teachers managing classes of 40 students, the elementary schools where educators have to lock doors due to safety incidents, and the music and arts programs that teach kids how to be decent human beings. An educated electorate is essential for preserving our democracy, and that requires actual investment in public education. End the voucher scam in Maryland. Redirect enforcement agency budgets to classrooms. Fund Maryland schools like we mean it.
