Note: This is not about education. . I am resending this message, because, based on the reply email I received, staff interpreted it as being about education. It isn't. It's about federal regulation and recent SCOTUS decision. . OK? . The message is: I wonder why we don't hear daily reports of Civics teachers exploding. Everything I was ever taught about our government, and valued, has been turned upside down by this appalling President and Supreme Court. I am calling upon you to introduce legislation that will override the ludicrous Slaughter decision and make our Federal regulators and other independent agencies independent again, as previous Congresses clearly intended. It should include advisory panels and Boards like the Kennedy Center. Firing for "cause," only. Not political removal.
