Juneteenth was a reminder of how far we’ve come since 1865; the rest of last week was filled with painful examples of how far we’ve fallen with Trump/Miller at the Helm:
*Pete Hegseth blocked the promotion of Admiral Stephen Barnett- the top contender and an African-American- to lead the Navy.
*The slur against Michelle Obama at Trump‘s $60 million birthday fight (and the despicable reaction of the Republican crowd)
*Our president’s own words in front of G7 leaders on the world stage: Obama is a “stupid son of a b*tch” (No, Donald… these are your words not Iran’s.)
*The GOP‘s race to do racial gerrymandering, diluting the black vote
and ending representation throughout the south.
The American people are watching. Trump may think our country is racist, but there is no place for the “Trump Republican” party’s racism and racist policies.
We’ve seen the one party system throughout the south before the voting rights act was passed in 1965 and WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!
