I'm writing today to insist that you vote against the bill currently going through Congress, referred to as the SAVE Act. This act is being pushed with the narrative that it will prevent voter fraud, despite the fact that there is no evidence of the fraudulent votes its proponents claim exist. The actual results of this act will be voter supression, the disenfranchisement of american citizens forced to jump through hoops to prove their citizenship and voter registration. Voting is one of the most democratic acts a person can perform in our country, and the right to do so should be protected at all costs, and our electorate should be aiming to remove as many barriers to voting as possible, not creating new ones, so that voting and its results can remain true to the intent and values of the american people. If you truly value democracy and the people's right to participate in it freely, you will oppose this manipulative and misguided bill. Thank you.
