The war in Ukraine needs to end, and the United States must do more to make that happen — not by pressuring Ukraine into concessions, but by giving Ukraine the tools to win. I want you to push for stronger military and economic support for Ukraine and tougher measures against Russia until it withdraws from Ukrainian territory. Even Pope Leo XIV, speaking in Metz during his visit to France, acknowledged that "war has returned, even to Europe" and called for courage in pursuit of peace. But real peace requires leverage. Ukraine cannot negotiate from a position of weakness, and rewarding Russian aggression with territorial gains only invites more of it. The path to a just and lasting peace runs through a Ukraine that can defend itself and a Russia that faces real consequences for this invasion. Stand firmly on the side of Ukraine's sovereignty. Vote for every measure that increases military aid, tightens sanctions on Russia, and holds the line against any deal that sacrifices Ukrainian land or lives for the sake of a convenient ceasefire.
