Vote NO on SAVE ACT

To: Rep. Foxx

From: A constituent in Greensboro, NC

February 11

I am writing to demand that you vote no on the SAVE ACT legislation. This piece of legislation would make it infinitely harder for millions of people to vote. There is not an issue with non-US citizens voting. This is a non-starter. But what this piece of legislation would do would make it incredibly hard for Americans to vote, namely American women who are married and changed their name when they got married. A US passport costs $165 plus time and energy and most people don’t know where their birth certificate is so if it is required to present one of these two documents in order to vote, millions of people are not gonna be able to vote and this disproportionately affects married women , of which I am one and you are as well as well. Not everyone has a passport. This is ridiculous. Vote no
