An Open Letter

To: Rep. Carey

From: A constituent in Dublin, OH

April 7

Do not cut public library funding in Ohio! Libraries are safe places to read, to meet, and to learn. They provide so many community services beyond books. Truly books would be enough for some. Literacy makes better citizens. Freedom to read and explore ideas is crucial. Libraries give students places to meet and study. They provide internet access and support for adults seeking help in a multitude of areas. Libraries help create community. Whether that is through programming or recognizing your own story in a book.
