This is not monopoly. Tell Trump to stop playing with human life!

To: Sen. Kim, Sen. Booker, Rep. Kean

April 12

As a lapsed Catholic, never would I ever have thought I’d find myself siding with the Pope. However, he seems to be the only reliable source of integrity and moral character these days, so here we are. Pope Leo’s admonishment to the United States on its apparent mission to starve Cuba is the only reasonable take on this situation. For whatever reason, the Trump administration seems to believe that the world map is just a gameboard, and that the global populace are just game pieces meant for their personal entertainment and manipulation. Human beings are living in filth, disease, and hunger. The United States blockade is preventing any sort of humanitarian aid. And the president of the United States of America chuckles about how easy it will be to “take Cuba.” This is not monopoly. Stop allowing him to play with peoples’ lives!
