Reject Anti-Abortion Riders and Pass Clean ACA Subsidy Extension

To: Sen. Baldwin

From: A constituent in Sussex, WI

November 10, 2025

I am writing to you with profound urgency and alarm regarding the legislative riders being included in the appropriations process. As a committed constituent, I demand that you utilize every possible legislative tool and ounce of your influence to oppose and defeat any anti-abortion policy riders—which amount to a backdoor national abortion ban—in the must-pass spending legislation. The inclusion of these extreme, extraneous measures is nothing less than holding the entire government and the essential health of millions of Americans hostage. It is completely unacceptable to condition vital government funding and the extension of essential Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits on the passage of a radical, anti-choice agenda. These riders directly threaten access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, aim to dismantle established health policy, and align with dangerous blueprints like Project 2025. They specifically target women and families who rely on the ACA for affordable coverage, attempting to block federal tax credits from covering basic, necessary services. Please vigorously oppose the inclusion of any and all anti-abortion riders, ensuring they are stripped from the final spending bill. Force a clean extension of the enhanced ACA premium tax credits, protecting affordable health insurance for millions of people. Refuse to compromise on the fundamental rights of reproductive freedom and health access. Do not allow these basic rights to be weaponized for partisan gain. Your leadership and resolve are crucial at this moment.
