I urge you to pass the bills which you delayed today. I am also extremely concerned that you pass all the proposed funding for all immigrants fighting deportation. Immigrants who have been convicted of crimes, served their time and then when released have suffered again by being immediately sent to detention centers. They should also be covered under the bill. If the governor would issue pardons ( many applications are already in Sacramento) for these people, the deportation issue would be moot!! Don’t give in to Republican hypocrisy. Immigrants are seen as a commodity for companies like GEO who receive government funding for building and detaining immigrants and you are very aware of how awful the conditions are. Stand up for democracy and keep the feds at bay!!!
