I am a voter in north logan who notices that I rarely get a response to my almost daily personal letters to elected offices. The automated system I use sends one letter to all my lawmakers at once. It does not mean that my letters are pre-written or can be ignored. Be assured that my large social networks agrees with me. I am a leader in this community************** Please immediately write and pass legislation making it illegal for anyone to use shock gloves in our state. Urge our federal lawmakers to do the same at the national level. Torture is illegal and cannot be allowed. Remember the constitution? It applies. People being shocked have not even been accused of a crime, let alone found guilty of something that permits cruel and unusual punishment. ######## Please also make sure no added concentration camps come to our state and close the ones that already exist. Our neighbors are being kidnapped without required due process. ACLU and many other lawsuits document in shocking detail how ICE’s kidnapping, torture and sometimes death results from being brown and black. ######This shocking racism is extremely well documented. #######. My partner witnessed 3 community members being kidnapped by ICE agents in Logan after paying fines for traffic violations. It was so upsetting that he was nauseous. ######Dictators turn on everyone eventually, and we are all at enormous risk if you do not stop the lawlessness, the brutality toward our friends, families and neighbors. Those concentration camps will someday be filled with white Utahns unless you stop it. Please do not let that happen. Please do your job to protect us residents of Utah, regardless of immigration status. Recall entering USA without a visa is like a parking ticket, it is not an excuse to torture and kill people.
