Reject Bill Prohibiting Ranked Choice Voting for Fair Elections

To: Rep. Sherrill, Sen. Kim, Sen. Booker

From: A verified voter in Boonton, NJ

April 30

Please vote NO on H.R. 3040. Ranked-choice voting (RCV) is common-sense election upkeep: it guarantees every federal winner has majority support, lets voters back third-party or independent voices without "spoiling" the race, and pushes candidates to build broad coalitions instead of pandering to narrow factions. States and cities already using RCV—Alaska, Maine, New York City, and others—report higher turnout, faster run-off-free results, and less scorched-earth campaigning. A federal ban would scrap a proven, voter-approved reform and drag us back to 35-percent "mandate" wins. Keep our elections fair and representative—reject H.R. 3040.
