President elect Trump is planning to deport millions of immigrants, likely sending them to mass deportation camps in the meantime. It is all too clear that these camps will be nothing more than concentration camps with horrible living conditions. Furthermore, we know that American citizens and legal immigrants will be caught up in the efforts. As an American Jew, I cannot help but think of Japanese detention camps and German concentration camps of World War 2. My ask for you is this: to protect Oregonian residents in every way you can by all resisting deportations from Oregon and speaking out against Trump's plans. We cannot devolve quietly into fascism.
