Harmful Anti-Trans Healthcare Bill SB1511 SB1511 would impose harmful restrictions on gender-affirming healthcare for transgender individuals, going against the overwhelming consensus of major medical associations that such care is safe, effective, and lifesaving. This legislation criminalizes healthcare providers and threatens parents with child abuse charges for allowing their children to receive medically necessary, evidence-based treatment. Furthermore, it fails to provide protections for intersex youth. According to the Movement Advancement Project's interactive map, Arizona would join a disturbing trend of states denying access to vital healthcare services for the transgender community. I urge you to reject SB1511 and resist efforts to legislate against established medical guidelines, which will only breed discrimination and jeopardize the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.
