Vote No on Bill Allowing Third Presidential Term

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Owens

From: A verified voter in West Jordan, UT

May 8

Vote no on any bill that would allow a president to serve more than two terms. The 22nd Amendment exists for a reason, and repealing it would fundamentally undermine our democracy. Two-term limits prevent the consolidation of executive power and ensure peaceful transitions of leadership. This principle has guided our nation since 1951, through administrations of both parties. No individual, regardless of party affiliation, should hold the presidency for more than eight years. The founders feared concentrated power, and the 22nd Amendment codified that wisdom after FDR's four terms. This isn't about one person or one party. It's about preserving the constitutional guardrails that protect us from authoritarianism. If this passes, it sets a precedent that future presidents of any party could exploit. I expect you to defend the Constitution and vote no on this dangerous proposal.
