I’m writing today to ask you to support Elizabeth Warren as Senate Majority Leader. Senator Warren upholds the kind of thoughtful representation of American interests that we need during this time. She is wise, experienced and consistent. We don’t want Chuck Schumer. He is too closely tied to AIPAC and he does not have the support of the progressive wing of our party. He’s not the right choice to continue the momentum we have gained overnight. As a Virginia voter who supported you both, I am asking you not to put Schumer forward as Senate Majority Leader and instead to back Senator Elizabeth Warren. We must move forward and press our advantage. We need to get billionaire money out of politics, set term limits for the Supreme Court and Congress, demand accountability for corruption and limit the powers of the executive branch. Strong leadership and unity are needed now. Please don’t put Schumer back into this role.
