I need you to co-sponsor the Ban Presidential Plunder of Taxpayer Funds Act and use your position on the House task force to investigate Trump family self-dealing. This administration is turning the Treasury into a personal ATM. Trump is suing the IRS for $10 billion over leaked tax returns from his first term. That's more than 80% of the entire IRS budget for last year. Democracy Forward is right to call this extraordinary because the President controls both sides of the litigation. We've already seen how this scam works. The DOJ settled with Michael Flynn for $1.2 million after he sued for $50 million, despite pleading guilty to lying to the FBI about Russian contacts. Representative Raskin warned us about this emerging MAGA grift of suing the government as a plaintiff and then settling as a defendant for big bucks. Trump claims any money would go to charity, but his track record with charitable promises is abysmal. Meanwhile, he's lying about Iran deals that don't exist, threatening to restart bombing, and maintaining a blockade that's destabilizing global markets. We cannot fund his reckless Iran escalation while he loots the government. Block any appropriations for military action against Iran and pass the Ban Presidential Plunder Act immediately.
