In our community, families are being forced into impossible decisions—housing or food, housing or medication. And let’s not forget the big-money investors snatching up properties with cash offers, pricing out real people who just want a place to live. The Homes Act is a critical step toward fixing this mess and making housing a basic right, not a privilege for the rich. It’s time to put the interests of actual people over corporate profits.
