Subject: Supporting Global Leadership and Domestic Representation (Inspired by King Charles III)
Dear Congress Member,
I am writing as your constituent to share my thoughts following King Charles III address to a joint meeting of Congress.
I was struck by his call for our nations to rededicate ourselves to the "selfless service of our peoples" and his warning against becoming "ever more inward-looking".
I believe his message serves as a vital reminder of our responsibilities in the following areas:
Serving the People: The King highlighted that Congress exists to represent the "living mosaic" of the United States. I urge you to prioritize legislation that addresses representing people not billionaires.
Global Support: In an increasingly volatile world, I hope you will support policies that maintain our leadership role in international alliances and provide aid where it is most needed, particularly in humanitarian aid and supporting Ukraine
Protecting Our Future: As the King noted, our natural systems are the foundation of our long-term security. I ask that you support bold action to safeguard our environment for future generations.
As you cast your votes, I ask that you remember the King’s closing words: that while "America's words carry weight... the actions of this great nation matter even more".
Thank you for your time and for your service to our democracy and to supporting our Nato allies.
