Demand lawful return of unlawfully deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia

To: Rep. Donalds, Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody

From: A constituent in Fort Myers, FL

April 16

The case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia raises grave constitutional concerns about due process and the unlawful detention and deportation of individuals. Despite a court order barring his removal to El Salvador, he was mistakenly deported and remains unjustly imprisoned there. The Supreme Court has affirmed that his deportation was illegal, yet the administration has taken no meaningful steps to secure his return to the United States as ordered. This continued detention violates his fundamental rights and undermines the rule of law. Urgent action must be taken to facilitate Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and ensure he receives the due process he is owed, in accordance with the court's orders and our constitutional principles. His unlawful deportation and imprisonment cannot be allowed to stand.
