More broadly, this legislation does not reflect a conservative moral framework rooted in restraint, personal responsibility, and compassion. Instead of empowering individuals and families, it imposes sweeping criminal penalties that may cause unintended harm in already difficult situations. This is not the kind of governance many conservatives, myself included, expect from state leadership. As a voter, I want to be clear that decisions like this will weigh heavily in my considerations during election season. I urge you to reflect on whether policies like this truly align with the values of Oklahoma and the principles you were elected to uphold.
