Demand the Resignation of Stephen Miller

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Graham, Rep. Timmons

From: A verified voter in Greenville, SC

January 28

I'm writing to urge you to demand the immediate resignation of Stephen Miller as deputy chief of staff for policy. Miller's extremist anti-immigrant and imperialist policies are endangering our nation, eroding international peace and stability, and threatening our most basic civil liberties. The recent high-profile killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti have rightly drawn attention to the threat that high-profile White House aide and enthusiastic white supremacist Stephen Miller poses to the United States. He’s the architect behind the despicable separation of detained immigrant families and the cancellation of the DACA program. He has orchestrated the continued escalation of ICE detention and deportation campaigns, called for the unconstitutional elimination of due process rights for undocumented people, and enthusiastically spread lies about both immigrants and US citizens victimized by ICE's indiscriminate violence. He has advanced an unabashedly imperialist approach to foreign policy, from leading extrajudicial drone strikes on Venezuelan boats to calling for the use of military force to seize Greenland. Stephen Miller is not an elected official or the leader of an agency. However, he enjoys terrifyingly outsized influence over the Trump administration and is a catalyst for the acceleration of outright fascism in our country. Members of Congress must demand his immediate resignation. Thank you for your time and consideration.
