Please Vote NO on the Budget Bill

To: Rep. Pou, Sen. Kim, Sen. Booker

From: A constituent in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ

June 21, 2025

I am writing as a constituent of New Jersey to strongly urge you to vote no on the upcoming budget bill. While I understand the importance of passing a budget to keep the government running, I have serious concerns about the priorities outlined in this legislation. This bill, as currently written, does not reflect the needs or values of the people in our state. • It includes significant cuts to essential programs that support working families, education, healthcare, and the environment. • It increases spending in areas that do not promote long-term economic stability or benefit the average American. • It was negotiated behind closed doors with little transparency or opportunity for public input. I believe our budget should be a reflection of our national values—investing in people, communities, and a sustainable future. This bill falls short. Please stand up for your constituents and vote no on this budget bill. I urge you to demand a more responsible, equitable, and transparent approach. Thank you for your time and your service to our state.
