Supreme Court order on Kilmar Abrego Garcia defied, uphold rule of law
To: Justices Court
From: A constituent in Leander, TX
April 16
The Supreme Court ruling clearly stated that the government must facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States. However, the White House appears to be defying this order by suggesting the ruling went in their favor and implying they have satisfied the requirement by offering a plane, despite El Salvador's refusal to allow his return. This blatant disregard for the highest court's decision sets a dangerous precedent that undermines the rule of law and due process. If the administration is permitted to circumvent court orders at will, it erodes the system of checks and balances that is fundamental to American democracy. Allowing such executive overreach risks enabling authoritarian rule and the erosion of civil liberties. It is imperative that the Supreme Court clarifies and enforces its directive to uphold the integrity of the judicial system and prevent the normalization of extrajudicial actions that could lead to fascism taking root in this country. We must insist on accountability from our leaders and demand adherence to the Constitution and the rulings of the Supreme Court. Failing to do so jeopardizes the foundation of American governance and the rights of all citizens. Decisive action must be taken to ensure the court's authority is respected and that no individual, regardless of position, is above the law. Justices, please protect our country and our constitution before it's too late.
