I am writing in support of HB 1916, to protect registered voters. I am proud of Washington for being one of the best states for ease of voting and dedication to democracy. Since the 2020 election, we have seen a rise in attempted mass voter registration challenges. These tactics have unnecessarily removed many citizens from the voter rolls and overwhelmed election officials. Please pass HB 1916 to empower election officials to dismiss baseless voter registration challenges and protect voters like me from having our registrations canceled.
