First ICE killed Renee Nicole Good, shooting her on a residential street in Minneapolis as she drove away from her killer. Today ICE in Minneapolis killed Alex Pretti, shooting him as he was restrained on the ground. What is happening now is not routine immigration enforcement. It is the normalization of militarized federal policing in American neighborhoods, coupled with propaganda that demands the public abandon observable reality in favor of official statements — even when video evidence contradicts them. That is not public safety. It is a direct threat to constitutional government. Please stand with your colleagues to demand an immediate end to ICE’s deadly abuses. • Hold emergency public hearings with sworn testimony from DHS and ICE leadership • Prohibit masked or anonymous federal policing in civil immigration enforcement • Mandate an enforceable duty to render immediate medical aid • Restore meaningful civil liability and accountability for federal agents who violate constitutional rights • Rein in large-scale, theatrical enforcement operations that endanger the public and chill lawful protest This is the moment for Congress to assert itself—publicly, visibly, and without delay. Democracy depends on this.
