Please urgently oppose any land exchange, sale, easement, or funding that would allow for private development access through Yosemite National Park, as recently proposed by the Department of Interior. Recent reports indicate that the Department of the Interior and National Park Service are conserving a proposal to allow development for land that is currently inside Yosemite by a company called Kingsbarn Realty Capital. Yosemite is public land and should not be handed over to developers for private profit for their own access road to one of our country’s most important treasures. I’m asking that you demand complete transparency and disclosure by the Interior Department, and that you oppose any use of the Land and Water Conservation Fund for this development, and that you support Congressional oversight to protect our national parks, including Yosemite.
