The Trump/Republican shutdown is hurting people. Federal workers. SNAP recipients. People who need government services or would like to go to a museum. Republicans could end this cruelty TODAY. Why won’t they? Because they are insisting on hurting MORE people by making health insurance too expensive. The cruelty to the American people, including Florida residents, seems to be the only focus of republicans. Please don’t lie and say this is to keep illegal immigrants from getting benefits. They already can’t participate, so that is a less than weak position. It assumes we are stupid. Do the right thing. Reach across the aisle. Admit you are wrong, and that the American people deserve a functioning government, not sickness and starvation. Reopen the government. It is in your power to do this. The only person who will object is Trump. Are you willing to destroy America and the Floridian people in service to a dictator who is only looking out for himself and his billionaire friends? WHY? That is the question you will be asked from now until next November. WHY is what he thinks and wants ($$$$$) more important than our lives? WHY? Oh, and release the Epstein files. We didn’t forget.
