Oppose Trump's Russian Diesel Deal — It Funds the War on Ukraine

Trump's deal to import over 300,000 tonnes of Russian diesel — while simultaneously authorizing Treasury to relax sanctions on Russian fuel shipments — is a direct betrayal of Ukraine and every commitment this country has made since February 2022. You need to oppose this arrangement publicly and push for congressional oversight before it goes any further.
The entire logic of Western sanctions has been that cutting Russia's hydrocarbon revenues raises the cost of its aggression. That logic doesn't disappear because American fuel prices are uncomfortable. Putin is getting a public American sanctions rollback without giving up a single inch of occupied Ukrainian territory or stopping a single missile strike on Ukrainian cities. That's not a deal — it's a concession with nothing in return. If Congress allows this to stand, every adversary watching will conclude that American economic pressure has a price tag and a shelf life.
Ukraine has been attacking Russian refineries precisely to degrade the war machine funding this invasion. Now Washington is reportedly pressuring Kyiv to stop those operations to protect American pump prices. We're asking Ukrainians to die while we shop for cheaper fuel from the country killing them. Hold this administration accountable. Demand hearings, demand reciprocal conditions, and make clear that sanctions relief requires verifiable Russian concessions — not just a promise of diesel deliveries.
