I am alarmed and disappointed that the Senate choice to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt for exercising his Fifth Amendment right to not incriminate himself during Senator Rand Paul's recent anti-science, hysterical, kangaroo court styled antics. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/aug/06/fauci-senate-contempt-vote-covid Dr. Fauci is foremost among scientists vilified simply because they presented what more often than not has turned out to be factual data backing up laws and measures on the part of government meant to protect the people from COVID19 and from the ignorant, poorly-educated, anti-vaccine and often MAGA individuals who have flaunted the simplest measures meant to protect not only themselves but those without the luxury of avoiding them. It is a travesty that government is going after Dr. Fauci rather than again ignoring the corrupt orange elephant in the White House! Increasingly it seems the people will need more active, constructive measures to facilitate excision of this corruption, given the House, Senate, DoJ, and Supreme Court seem to smile and nod and rubber stamp the ongoing treachery. Most regrettable.
