Keep Schools About Education!

To: Sen. Schroer, Rep. West

From: A verified voter in Defiance, MO

April 10

The proposal to mandate the display of the Ten Commandments in Missouri public schools raises serious constitutional concerns regarding the separation of church and state. Public schools should be welcoming environments for students of all faiths and backgrounds. Promoting one specific religious doctrine could make many students feel excluded or uncomfortable. Furthermore, such a policy would likely face legal challenges on First Amendment grounds. Rather than pursuing divisive religious initiatives, our elected representatives should prioritize providing quality secular education that serves all Missourians. I urge you to reject this unnecessary and unconstitutional proposal in order to protect religious freedom and maintain an inclusive learning environment in our public schools.
